Before the Jon Favreau version, but after the Robert Rodriguez version, I had the pleasure of working on the Kerry & Kevin Conran version. For six months we holed up on the eleventh floor of a nondescript building in downtown Glendale. Although our version of the film was never meant to be, we did create an amazing amount of work, and I did get to meet Edgar Rice Burroughs’ grandson for a private tour of the Burroughs’ Library.
